An Edwardian silver mounted photograph frame.

Description

Condition Report

An Edwardian silver mounted photograph frame, the rectangular form within a shaped and scrolled edge, oak veneer back with easel fitting. Hallmarked Samuel M Levi, Birmingham 1907. Maximum height measures 7 1/2 inches (19 cm).

Please note: When placing absentee bids, your bids will be rounded up to the nearest bid increment. For more information click the 'Important Notices for Purchasers' button above.

Purchasing information
The frame displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Some quite heavy tarnishing is visible to the silver mount and it would benefit from a clean and polish. Some dints and bumps and the mount is lifting in several places. Small split in the metal on one of the bottom corners. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Replacement screws to the easel back fitting and the hinge is very loose so that the frame cannot stand correctly.
