An early 20th century silver inkwell.

Condition Report

An early twentieth century silver inkwell, the plain oval stand with elongated ends and raised on four simple openwork feet, and with central recess to hold a glass ink bottle with silver collar and flat hinged silver mount. Hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1910, also with impressed maker's name and address to the underside. Maximum length measures 6 5/8 inches (16.8 cm), weight of stand only 1.92 ozt (59.7 grams).

Purchasing information
    The inkwell displays general wear in keeping with the age and use, including surface scratching, marks, tarnishing and a couple of slight dints. Hinged lid to bottle in good working order. Some slight edge nibbles to glass. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
