Condition Report

An early 20th century 9ct gold opal and diamond bar brooch. The four graduated oval opal cabochons, with rose-cut diamond triple spacers, within a scalloped surround. Length 4.2cms. Weight 4gms.

Purchasing information
    Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Wear to the gilt surface. Possible replacement opals. Some possible replacement diamonds. Opals translucent, fairly well matched, play-of-colour varies slightly. Opals in fair condition with abrasion and some chips. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones. Due to the nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to calculate a total diamond weight. Estimated total diamond spread weight 0.30ct, which is no indication of the actual diamond weight. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Diamonds in fair condition with abrasion, nicks and chips.
