An early 20th century 9ct gold opal and diamond bar brooch. The four graduated oval opal cabochons, with rose-cut diamond triple spacers, within a scalloped surround. Length 4.2cms. Weight 4gms.

Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Wear to the gilt surface. Possible replacement opals. Some possible replacement diamonds. Opals translucent, fairly well matched, play-of-colour varies slightly. Opals in fair condition with abrasion and some chips. Estimated total diamond spread weight 0.30ct, which is no indication of the actual diamond weight. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
