Condition Report

An 18ct gold ruby and diamond three-stone ring. The oval-shape ruby, between brilliant-cut diamond sides, to the tapered band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1981. Weight 3.2gms.

    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear, the sides of the settings show slight wear. Band is off round. The ruby has a medium pinkish-red with typical inclusions visible with the naked eye. The condition of the ruby is fair, with abrasion to facet edges, nibbles to the girdle, and some surface reaching fractures, visible to the naked eye. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Light coloured inclusions can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Approximate ring size M.
