LONGINES - a gentleman's yellow metal Flyback chronograph wrist watch.

Description

Condition Report

LONGINES - a gentleman's Flyback chronograph wrist watch. Stamped 18K with poincon. Numbered 7415 1 35. Signed manual wind calibre 30CH, numbered 12603768. Silvered dial with gilt baton hour markers, subsidiary recorder dials to three and nine. Yellow metal case fitted to an unsigned brown leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 37mm. The 30CH calibre, first produced in 1947, was the last æManufactureÆ chronograph movement created by Longines. The fly-back feature is usually associated with pilot watches where accurate navigation requires the timing of successive route stages and a single-push reset-and-start would be very useful; this watch from around 1964 has a medical heritage instead showing scales for measuring both pulse and breathing.

Please note: When placing absentee bids, your bids will be rounded up to the nearest bid increment. For more information click the 'Important Notices for Purchasers' button above.
