Condition Report

An early 20th century 9ct gold amethyst and split pearl pendant. Of openwork design, the circular-shape amethyst and split pearl foliate panel, with oval-shape amethyst drop, suspended from a bar-link chain. Length of pendant 4.4cms. Length of chain 45cms. Weight 5.6gms.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replacement surmount loop, connection not soldered.
  • Chain links have moderate to significant wear.
  • Spring clasp stiff, replacement recommended.
  • The split pearls have light to moderate blemishes and nacre damage. Some possibly replacements.

  • The amethysts have light to moderate surface scratches and abrasion.
  • Both stamped 9ct.
