Condition Report

An early 19th century gold garnet pendant. The foil back circular and pear-shape garnets, to the later split pearl surmount. Length 4.5cms. Weight 4.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Areas of repair/alteration visible to the reverse of the brooch. A couple of hook fittings have been added at a later date.
  • Visible dents, scratches and split to the back of the settings.
  • The garnets are pinkish purple, scattered typical inclusions visible with the unaided eye.
  • Abrasion visible to facet edges and facet faces of some.
  • Split pearls well matched, significant scratches to inside of later surmount.
