A George III gold mourning brooch. The marquise-shape woven hair panel, to the reverse with personal inscription 'M Hudson Ob 15 Jan 1793 at 58'. Length 3.4cms. Weight 6.6gms.

    Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear, scratches and discolouration in keeping with age and general wear. Evidence of repair. Replacement brooch fittings and base metal pin. Patches of discolouration to the reverse. Area of significant scratches to the reverse. Scratches and abrasion to the glass panel.
