Condition Report
A late Victorian 18ct gold opal and diamond cluster ring. Of marquise-shape outline, the graduated circular opal line, within an old-cut diamond surround, to the circular opal cabochon sides and knife-edge band. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1894. Weight 4.2gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Surface scratches and wear in keeping with general age and use.
- Diamonds fairly bright and well matched.
- Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Scattered dark inclusions, some surface reaching.
- Opals with good play of colour, well matched with predominantly green and blue hues.
- Opals in good condition with minor abrasions.
- Ring size N 1/2. Length of ring head 1.8cms.
