A mid 20th century silver caster.

Condition Report

A mid-twentieth century silver caster, of baluster form with moulded girdle detail above a spread circular foot and having decorative pierced panels to the removable lid. Hallmarked William Comyns & Sons Ltd (Richard Comyns), London 1961. Maximum height measures 5 1/8 inches (13 cm), weight 5.43 ozt (169 grams).

Purchasing information
    The caster appears in fairly good overall condition, displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Possible solder repairs around the base of the finial. Knock to foot rim. Small gouges in the metal to some of the edges and rims. The lid is quite a tight fit but does have matching part hallmarks. The main hallmarks are clear and legible.
