Condition Report
A mid Victorian gold emerald and split pearl pendant. The foil back square-shape emerald and split pearl cluster, within a cannetille surround, suspending a fringe. Registration mark for 8th December, 1854. Length 4.6cms. Weight 3.3gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Scratches, dents and areas of discolouration to the reverse
- Emeralds medium green, fairly well saturated, with fair clarity and typical inclusions, visible with the unaided eye.
- Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Wear visible to the settings.
- Split pearls well matched and in good condition.
- Some areas of gapping and wear to the tassel links.
- Possibly originally an earring, pendant loop added later.
- Tests 18ct gold but believe to be 9ct gold with 18ct gilding.
