A mid 19th century gold gem-set bird brooch. Designed as a floral embossed bird in flight, with green gem accents and ruby eye, suspending a padlock and key from its beak. Length 3.4cms. Weight 4.6gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Base metal replacement fittings, slight discolouration visible.
- Green gems replacements, ill-fitting to mounts. Mounts with damage.
- Ruby is in a closed back setting, presumed foil back, appears a slightly purplish red hue.
- Green gems with moderate abrasion.
