Condition Report

A selection of late Victorian and early 20th century jewellery. To include a late Victorian 18ct gold engraved band ring, an early 20th century garnet three-stone ring, a similarly aged platinum band ring and two 9ct gold gem-set bar brooches. One garnet deficient. Two with hallmarks for Chester, 1893 and Birmingham, 1921. Length of brooches 4.6 and 6.1cms. Total weight 17.7gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Garnets protrude the reverse of the settings.

  • Garnets light to medium purplish-red, well saturated, with good to fair clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good to fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.

  • One band stamped Platinum.

  • Stamped 9ct.
