Condition Report

An early 20th century gold garnet bracelet. Designed as seven graduated rectangular and oval-shape garnets, to the twin-bar chain and partially concealed clasp. Length 16cms. Weight 7.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • There appears to be some possible repair work to the links, with replacement joining pins, they are quite stiff to move and vary in colour, some appear to be yellow metal.
  • Discolouration to the tongue of the clasp.
  • The garnets vary in shape, some are more rectangular and overs more oval.
  • Garnets medium purplish brown with a fairly good saturation of colour, good to fair clarity with some inclusions visible with the unaided eye.
  • Stones in good condition, some minor abrasion and surface reaching inclusions to some.
  • With replacement safety chain.
