A George III silver caster.

Condition Report

A George III silver caster, the embossed baluster body depicting floral motifs and scalework surrounding a central crested cartouche with pierced textured cover, the whole raised upon a footed base, hallmarked John Mewburn, London 1802. Height including finial measures 6 2/8 inches (16 cm), weight 3.25 ozt (101.2 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Cartouche crested with a bird. Diagonal scratch visible to the banding below the cover. Original seams have become visible to the lower body. Hallmarks clear and legible, maker's mark partly rubbed and obscured but legible to the cover.
