Condition Report

A sapphire and diamond brooch. The cushion-shape sapphire and circular-cut diamond cluster, with vari-cut diamond pierced floral surround. With four paste interchangeable centre panels. May be worn as a pendant. One diamond deficient. Estimated total circular-cut diamond weight 2cts. Length 6.1cms. Weight (excluding additional panels) 27gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Some diamonds are chipped.
  • One diamond deficient.
  • Cut and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents total carat weight estimation.
  • Calculated diamond estimated weight is based on the central cluster diamond and diamond collets on the main body of the brooch.
  • Interchangeable single-stone collets and claw mounts consist of a green paste, pink paste, sapphire and light yellow gem (untested, possibly zircon).
  • Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
