Condition Report

Three late 19th to early 20th century gem-set brooches. To include a late Victorian vari-cut diamond cluster brooch with a gentleman's portrait reverse, a late Victorian 15ct gold sapphire and diamond brooch, together with an early 20th century garnet-topped-doublet and split pearl bar brooch. Estimated total diamond weight 0.15ct. One with hallmarks for Chester, 1893. Lengths 3.5 to 5cms. Total weight 20.7gms. One with fitted case.

  • Diamond brooch in good condition, diamond well matched, minor surface scratches and dent, hollow interior.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Sapphire and diamond brooch in good condition, minor surface scratches. Sapphire medium to light blue, fairly saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Diamonds well matched, fairly bright. Hallmarked.
  • GTD and split pearl brooch in fair condition, with a base metal pin replacement. Split pearls with medium damage to the nacre. Stamped 9ct.
  • Lengths of brooches 3.5, 4.8 and 5cms.
