Condition Report

ROLEX - a gentleman's Oyster Perpetual Date Explorer II bracelet watch. Stainless steel case with calibrated bezel. Circa 1984. Reference 16550, serial 8470425. Signed automatic calibre 3085 with quick date set. Black "Rail" dial with luminous hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to a signed stainless steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterclasp. 39mm. Box and papers.

Purchasing information
  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Dial appears to have noticeable marks and scratches. Hairline cracks to the dial finish are visible in specific orientations when the light catches them.
  • Hands show noticeable marks and tarnishing. Some cracks in the luminous paint are visible, especially to the hour hand.
  • Glass has scratches and marks. Chipping to the edge of the glass between four and six, heavy chipping is visible between eleven and twelve.
  • Case shows scratches, marks and dints.
  • Crown screws down and has light scratches and marking.
  • Bracelet has scratches and some signs of stretching to links.
  • Clasp is currently functioning and shows visible scratches and marks.
  • Bracelet measures approximately 15.5cm including case.

    This lot comes with a box with noticeable wear and papers dated 10.05.1985.
