A 1930's four piece silver tea service.

Condition Report

A 1930's four piece silver tea service, including a teapot, hot water pot, cream jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, each of plain bellied form with panelled sides and decorative rim borders raised upon four stylised hoof feet, the teapot and hot water pot with ebonised wood handle and finials. Hallmarked Lee & Wigfull (Henry Wigfull), Sheffield 1935, the sugar bowl dated 1934. Height of the hot water pot inclusive of finial measures 8 inches (20.3 cm), gross weight 65.3 ozt (2033.7 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hot water pot has a muslin insert, one foot does not stand fully flat and causes it to wobble slightly, the hinged lid has become bent and does not shut fully flush, requires attention. Hallmarks clear and legible.
