An 18ct gold diamond and gem-set floral brooch.

Description

Condition Report

An 18ct gold diamond and gem-set floral brooch. The wirework basket with diamond bow and rope-twist handle, enclosing a cultured pearl with emerald, ruby, sapphire and diamond flowers. Estimated total diamond weight 0.25ct. Partial import marks for London. Length 3cms. Weight 8.6gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Abrasion and slight discolouration visible to the back of some mounts.
  • Jeweller-type number scratches to base.
  • Diamonds fairly bright and well matched.
  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Varied inclusions.
  • Rubies are a deep medium slightly purplish red hue. Sapphires are a dark blue hue. Emeralds are a moderately vibrant medium slightly bluish green hue.
  • Stones mostly in good condition with minor abrasions, one emerald noticeably chipped.

  • Diameter of cultured pearl approximately 9.5mms.
  • Cultured pearl is a white hue with moderate orient and good lustre. Typical surface blemishes.
