A diamond, ruby and cultured pearl watch brooch.

Description

Condition Report

A diamond, ruby and cultured pearl watch brooch. The square-shape dial, with Arabic hour markers, single-cut diamond and calibre-cut synthetic ruby lugs, within a later cultured pearl scrolling surround. Dial signed Lucien Piccard. Length 3.9cms. Total weight 18gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Watch has been later adapted into a brooch, cultured pearl and scroll surround not original to piece.
  • Brooch clasp with soft solder connections.
  • Glue residue to pearl settings.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Synthetic rubies in fair condition with some abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Some chipped.
