Condition Report

A 1920's silver twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of plain bulbous form with reeded handles, hallmarked Charles Weale, Birmingham 1921, maximum height of bowl measures 3 3/8 inches (8.7 cm). Together with two silver ashtrays, each of plain square form with four corner rests, Birmingham 1933, two modern silver pin dishes, each of curved square form, hallmarked Mappin & Webb Ltd., Birmingham & Sheffield 1973, a cased set of six silver teaspoons, a silver sugar sifter, etc. Gross weighable silver 23.9 ozt (743. 8 grams).

Purchasing information
    In varied state, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Minor bumps to the sugar bowl and cream jug. One of the ashtrays has some minor bumps and dents to the base. The pin dishes are also marked 'Mappin & Webb Ltd Sheffield & London' beneath the base. The set of teaspoons have heavier tarnishing to the stems, some scuffs to the fitted case. The shoe horn has a silver handle and base metal horn component. One teaspoon is engraved with 'Madeleine' to the terminal. The napkin ring has no personal engravings. The silver lid of the small scent bottle is squashed and dented. Hallmarks rubbed and worn in places but majority still legible.
