Condition Report

A part set of four Maltese silver table forks of Fiddle pattern, each marked with the Maltese cross alongside the mark 'AVC' and two further assay marks, length measuring 6 5/8 inches (17 cm). Together with two further Maltese silver table forks of Fiddle pattern, each marked with the Maltese cross alongside the marks 'Pace' and 'EC' and two further assay marks. Gross weight 8.1 ozt (254.9 grams).

Purchasing information
    In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The part set of four forks are each marked with the Maltese cross and marked 'AVC' within a rectangular punch, each fork also has a number mark within a circular punch, two marked '25', one marked '23' and one marked '?3', alongside a further indistinct mark, possibly an animals head within a circular cartouche on three and possibly a letter within a lozenge on one. The other two forks are marked with the Maltese cross alongside two marks 'Pace' and 'EC', both numbered '15' alongside a further indistinct mark.
