Condition Report

An early 20th century 14ct gold cultured pearl and diamond pendant. The cultured pearl, suspended from a rose-cut diamond foliate panel, with integral trombone and fetter-link chain. May be worn as a brooch. French assay marks. Length of pendant 4cms. Length of chain 36cms. Total weight 8.8gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches and discolouration, in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pendant tests as 14Kt gold.
  • Pin slightly bent.
  • Chain later replacement.
  • Blemish to surmount, small file scratches.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Estimated total diamond weight under 0.10ct.

  • Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate carat weight, colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diameter of cultured pearl 6mms.
  • Cultured pearl is a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Cultured pearl is a later replacement.
  • Chain stamped 9CT.
