Condition Report
A late Victorian gold diamond foil-back garnet pendant. Of openwork design, the old-cut diamond and foil-back garnet cabochon quatrefoil with foliate sides, set atop interwoven loops, suspended from a grooved belcher-link chain. Length of pendant 6cms. Length of chain 42cms. Weight 34.2gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good. Surface scratches / discolouration and minor dents, in keeping with general age and wear.
- Surmount with abrasion and dent.
- Reverse is noticeably discoloured.
- Glazed panel to centre of reverse.
- Foil-back garnets are slightly loose in mount and may require attention.
- Diamond is bright.
- Estimated diamond weight under 0.10ct.
- Size of diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Foil-back garnets appear a deep slightly brownish red, with typical inclusions.
- Foil-back garnets are in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the surface edges.
