A George V silver inkstand.

Condition Report

A George V silver inkstand, of shaped rectangular form with gadroon rim border and stylised twin handles, the later detachable cut-glass square inkwell with hinged silver cover, the whole raised on four paw feet. Stand hallmarked Philip Hanson Abbot, London 1911, inkwell hallmarked Levi & Salaman, Birmingham 1921. Length measures 9 5/8 inches (24.5 cm), weight of stand 8.6 ozt (268.7 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Some bumps to the cover of the inkwell which appears slightly off-centre, hallmarks slightly rubbed and worn on the collar but still just legible. Hallmarks on the stand clear and legible.
