Condition Report

A selection of bakelite and other early plastic jewellery. To include a necklace, a floral carved hinged bangle, a further bangle, a ring and loose beads. Length of necklace 39cms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • All plastics untested.
  • Necklace has surface blemishes to some beads. Beads are a deep slightly brownish red hue.
  • Hinged bangle has a pin missing to the bangle hinge, appears relatively stable. Inner diameter 5.8cms. Width (at widest) 3.1cms.
  • Orange plastic bangle has moderate scratches. Inner diameter 6.6cms. Width 1.3cms.
  • Ring with slight fissures to the inside. Dimensions of ring head 2.7 by 2.9cms. Ring size P1/2.
  • Lot also includes six varied beads, possibly including reconstituted amber.
