Description

Condition Report

An Edwardian platinum natural pearl and diamond ring. The pearl, measuring approximately 11.8 by 10.8mms, with old-cut diamond openwork shoulders. Verbal from GCS, stating natural, saltwater. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct. Approximate ring size L. Weight 5.9gms. With period, heart-shape silver case.

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Band slightly out of shape.
  • Band shows evidence of repair/ resize.
  • With hear-shape silver ring case. Case with hallmarks for Birmingham, 1906. Case engraved 'Z.P. 3rd Aug. 1907'.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Pearl untested for natural origin.
  • Pearl is an irregular, circular button shape.
  • Pearl is a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
