A 1970s 9ct gold ruby and diamond brooch. Of bi-colour design, the scrolling ribbons hanging from a textured branch, with old-cut diamond, circular-shape ruby and tendril accents. Maker's marks for Alabaster & Wilson. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct, principal diamond estimated I-J colour, SI clarity. Length 3.9cms. Weight 8gms. With fitted case.

Purchasing information- Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
- One tendril slightly loose, handle with care.
- With evidence of repair, soft solder residue to the reverse.
- Minor to moderate localised tarnish to the reverse.
- Fitted case in fair condition, with worn to both inside and outside.
- Diamonds bright.
- Principal diamond is assessed with limitation of setting, actual colour and clarity may be different.
- Individual size and setting of smaller diamond prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
- Rubies medium purplish red, fairly well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Rubies in good condition with minor abrasion and nibbles to the girdle and facet edges.
- Stamped 9ct.
