Condition Report

A late Victorian gold, split pearl and diamond brooch. The old-cut diamond and split pearl floral cluster, with split pearl scalloped surround and similarly-set floral cluster sides. Estimated total diamond weight 0.30ct. Length 4.2cms. Weight 17.4gms.

  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Diamonds with some minor inclusions under 10x magnification. One with indented natural to one side of the table.
  • Split pearls are a creamy white colour with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Split pearls in good condition with minor abrasions and nacre damage.
