Purchasing information
In overall good condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Two of the manicure tools have engraved monograms to the terminals surmounted by a crown, marked 925 alongside a possible maker's mark, the base metal components are significantly rusted, the other manicure tool has hallmarks for Birmingham. The fitted case for the glove stretchers has the inscription 'THE ZODIAC LODGE NO. 2615 LADIES FESTIVAL 4TH APRIL 1925' to the top of the box. The continental spoons have a possible maker's mark 'D B' beneath a lozenge in a square cartouche. One of the knife handles in the plated canteen has suffered a break along the tip of the terminal which has been repaired and has visible line running around it. Majority of hallmarks clear and legible.
