Purchasing information
In overall fair condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Remnants of polish visible, would benefit from a clean. Visible signs of repair around one of the cartouches as crude floods of solder have caused loss of definition to the decoration. The bottom of the handle has caused compressed where it joins to the body. The hinged lid is slightly loose with some sideways movement. Maker's mark partly obscured possibly Joseph Angell I & John Angell I, other hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to the lid, date letter for 1839.
