Condition Report

CARTIER - a lady's Santos Octo wrist watch. Stainless steel and gold plated case. Numbered 96511904. Signed automatic movement with quick date set. White dial with Roman numeral hour markers, date aperture to three. Fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 29mm.

  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear visible when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Dial shows scratches and hairline cracks. Most noticeable at the XI marker.
  • Hands appear to be in a generally good condition.
  • Glass appears free of significant scratches or marks when viewed under a 4x loupe.
  • Case shows noticeable scratches, marks and dints.
  • Crown is an aftermarket replacement. Shows scratches and marks.
  • Strap appears to be in good condition with minor marks and creasing.
  • Buckle shows noticeable marks and scratches.

    Some where to the plating at the edges.

    This lot does not come with box or papers. A signed gold plated deployant clasp is included but may not be correct for the watch.

    Due to opening of the case back we recommend this watch is re-sealed by an authorised technician to ensure any stated water resistance is retained.
