Condition Report

An early twentieth century four piece silver tea service, including a teapot, twin-handled sugar bowl and cream jug, each of plain circular form with gadroon rim border and feather moulded curved handle with lion mask terminals, raised upon a knopped circular base, the teapot with applied acorn finial and wood handle, plus a twin-handled tray of conforming style with turned wood handles. Hallmarked James Dixon & Sons Ltd., Sheffield 1924, bowl dated 1922, Rd No 591681, further marked 925 alongside probable French guarantee marks. Width of tray measures 24 4/8 inches (62.2 cm), gross weight 120 ozt (3733. 9 grams).

Purchasing information
    In good overall condition, the lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Noticeable contact marks and scratches to the top of the tray. All pieces would benefit from a clean and polish. Hallmarks clear and legible, partial hallmarks to various sections, further marked 925 alongside probable French guarantee marks which look to possibly be the Weevil mark.
