Condition Report

A mid 20th century jade butterfly brooch. The textured body and head, with spring feelers, to the scrolling foliate carved jadeite panel wings. Length 5.5cms. Weight 9.6gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Stamped 14k. General discolouration. The springs are slightly bent but still more freely. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Jadeite untested for natural colour origin. The jadeite is a mottled green from medium dark through light green hue with small flecks of dark spotting. Jade appears relatively bright and translucent. Jadeite panel dimensions 19.5mms by approximately 30mms, by 1.3mms deep.
