Description

Condition Report

An early 20th century natural pearl two-row necklace. Comprising two slightly graduated pearl lines, measuring approximately 7.1 to 4.4mms, to the pearl and single-cut diamond floral cluster clasp. With report 79203-22, dated 4th March 2019, from GCS, stating natural, saltwater. Estimated total diamond weight 0.65ct. Length 49.5cms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good to fair. Some surface scratches/ wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Diamonds with some small inclusions under 10x magnification. Some with minor cavities.
  • Natural pearls generally in good condition, some with minor to moderate nacre damage.

  • Pearl to the clasp untested due to setting restrictions.
  • Clasp tests as approximately 10ct gold.
  • Diameter of clasp 1.3cms.
  • Fellows uses a Thermo Scientific Nitron Handheld XRF Analyser to test metals. This technology is limited to examining metal to a depth of approximately 8 microns.
