BUCCELLATI - an 18ct gold sapphire and diamond necklace. Of bi-colour design, the heart-shape sapphire and brilliant-cut diamond drop, suspended within a similarly-cut diamond openwork halo, with similarly-designed surmount and rope-twist chain. Signed Frederico Buccellati. Sapphire weight 11.95cts. Estimated total diamond weight 2.50cts, principal diamonds estimated H-I colour, VS2-SI1 clarity. Italian marks. Length 41cms. Weight 30.6gms.

  • Overall condition good. Surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Pendant section is detachable, not including the top diamond cluster surmount.
  • Length of detachable section 5cms.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of smaller diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Two principal diamonds estimated 0.50ct each, measured and graded within setting restrictions.
  • Sapphire is a slightly violet blue, well saturated, with fairly good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Sapphire in good condition with minor abrasions.
