Condition Report
A late 19th century French porcelain-mounted mantel clock with matched garniture. The clock having a 3-inch white Roman dial (a/f) with painted centre, signed RAINGO FRES. A PARIS, with trefoil hands, now having a replacement back-wound timepiece movement, the case with cast gilt bronze figure of a maiden observing birds beside a vase of flowers, on arched dial housing and naturalistic base, breakfront platform with two Sevres-style porcelain panels, and toupie feet, 12.5", (31.5cm) high, together with a pair of three-branch candelabra each having foliate scroll sockets on two-handled ovoid porcelain bodies each painted with an oval panel of Cupid, on stepped circular gilt metal base, 17", (43cm) high, (s/d), (3).

Purchasing information-
Clock - dial repainted and with damage - cracks visible at I, III and VIII. Has previously has a two-train movement, winding arbors now infilled, centre decoration refreshed. Original movement removed and replaced with back-wound German or American timepiece movement, backplate screwed in place, not inspected and sold as seen.
Case is in good order.
Candelabra are associated, bolts need tightening (unstable through core); 4 of 8 nozzles missing to candle sockets. Small sections of gilt metal detached but present (these probably sit beneath candle arms). Some rubbing to gilding, overall with losses.
