Harold Gosling (1897 – 1992), managed some of the most illustious West End productions of the 20th century, such as Gielgud’s young Hamlet at the Queen’s Theatre in 1930. Perhaps his most known production was that of John Gielgud’s great season in the 1930’s. Gosling produced and managed many international stars, including Peggy Ashcroft and Alex Guiness, who went on to star in blockbuster films such as Lawrence of Arabia, The Bridge on the River Kwoi and the original Star Wars trilogy.

Gosling owned the signet ring until his death in 1992, when it was passed onto his sister. It has since remained with his distant family. With an approximate ring size M, it weighs 13.7gms. The beautiful ring perfectly complements the nearly-800 lot sale full of beautiful rings, pendants, necklaces, and many other alluring pieces of jewellery.
