Purchasing information
The mug is in reasonable condition. There are surface scratches and discolouration to the whole caused by general wear and tear. There are cracks in the silver where the base is attached to the main body, at the base of the handle, and in the bottom rim. The gilding on the inside is intact but rubbed slightly towards the top. Some of the engraved decoration is rubbed but most of the embossed pattern is intact and clear. There are some build-ups of polish in the grooves in the decoration. There are some bends in the base which means that the mug stands slightly unsteadily. There is a small round hole in the underside of the top of the handle. The hallmark is rubbed but legible, the sponsor's mark is indistinct.
