A mid 20th century opal and diamond cluster

Condition Report

A mid 20th century opal and diamond cluster brooch, comprising a central oval opal cabochon surrounded by fourteen old European cut diamonds each in a millegrain collet setting. Estimated total diamond weight - 4.70cts, Clarity - SI1/P2, Colour - H/J. Dimensions of opal Length - 18.5mm, Width - 12mm. Length of brooch - 2.8cms, Width - 2.1cms. With a detachable brooch fitting and safety chain.

Purchasing information
    The brooch is in good condition. The opal has a beautiful play of colour displaying pinks, blues and greens, there are a couple of minor scratches. The outer diamonds are lovely and bright, there are slight scratches to the brooch in places, minor wear and tear. The pin is a little bent.
