Condition Report

A gentleman's wrist watch by Waltham. Hallmarked Birmingham 1922. Numbered 240912. Signed manual wind movement. White dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. 9ct yellow gold case fitted to an unsigned black leather strap with gold plated pin buckle. 34mm.

  • Movement is currently functioning.
  • Movement has light and medium scratching with tarnishing and nicks.
  • Dial has light and medium scratches, marking, debris and cracks that are visible at twelve and running from the centre to the subsidiary dial at six and from the subsidiary dial to seven.
  • Hands have light and medium scratching with tarnishing and areas of discolouration.
  • Glass has light and medium scratching, with areas of chipping especially visible to eleven, scuffing and detritus are also present and the glass would benefit greatly from a clean both inside and out.
  • Case has light and medium scratches with dinting, light denting and nicks.
  • Case back and cuvette have light and medium scratches dinting, light denting and some detritus.
  • Crown is currently functioning correctly.
  • Leather strap has setting and deformation consistent with age and use.
  • Pin buckle has light and medium scratching and wear to the plating.
