Condition Report

An Edwardian gold sapphire and split pearl necklace. Of openwork design, the split pearl floral cluster pendant, detachable to the sapphire and split pearl floral centre, with sapphire lattice and split pearl scrolling foliate sides and integral rope-twist chain. Length of gem-set section 8.7cms. Total length 38.5cms. Weight 13.1gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Discolouration to the chain.
  • Chain with replacement clasp.
  • Detachable floral cluster is likely a period replacement.
  • Split pearls well matched, those to the detachable drop have uneven surface.
  • Sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
