Condition Report

An early 20th century platinum and 18ct gold amethyst and diamond hinged bangle. The graduated circular-shape amethyst line, with single-cut diamond spacers, to the openwork bangle. Estimated total diamond weight 0.45ct. Inner diameter 6.2cms. Weight 15.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Bangle slightly off round, with small dents.
  • Would recommend attention to all settings as some claws deficient/worn.
  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds fairly bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • One diamond with small chip to pavillion.
  • Amethyst are a medium purple, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.

  • Amethyst are in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • With safety clasp.

  • Width 7mms.
  • Electronically tests as 18KT gold and PLATINUM.
