A late Victorian silver and gold, diamond and gem-set bee brooch. The vari-cut diamond bee, with oval-shape green garnet abdomen and ruby eyes, atop a diamond and seed pearl terminal openwork bar. Estimated old-cut diamond weight 0.10ct. Length 4.3cms. Weight 4.4gms.

Purchasing information- Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
- Possible replacement gems.
- Diamonds well matched.
- Diamonds bright.
- Individual size and setting of rose-cut diamonds prevents accurate weight estimation and colour and clarity assessment.
- Diamonds generally with few minor inclusions under 10x magnification, some with small dark inclusions.
- Garnet is a medium slightly yellowish green hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions.
- Seed pearls untested for natural origin.
- Seed pearls are a creamy white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
- Rubies well matched.
- Stones generally in good condition with minor abrasion, one ruby with some moderate abrasion to one side.
- Length of bee 1.8cms.
