Condition Report

A late 19th century gold ivory memorial brooch, the oval ivory cameo carved to depict a Madonna and child, within a cannetille surmount, with vacant reverse panel. Length 5cms. Weight 26.6gms.

    Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Ivory cameo intricately carved, cream and yellow-cream colour. Minor tarnish to surmount. Cannetille detail in good condition, one missing bead and small rope-twist section. Replacement brooch pin. Possible replacement glass panel.
