Condition Report

Two late 19th century gold brooches, to include a turquoise and stylised floral circular-shape brooch, together with an enamel rose brooch. Diameters 2.5 and 3.1cms. Weight 14gms.

Purchasing information
    The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Turquoise brooch with minor shallow dents and slight file marks to edge. Slight discolouration and wear to gilt finish. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. Turquoise is a bright very slightly greenish blue hue. Glue visible to turquoise mount. Base metal replacement pin to both brooches. Rose brooch possibly re-enamelled. General slight discolouration. Replacement fittings. Personal engraving to reverse "Mary Holden Haslingde[obscured by small soft solder from replacement fittings] 1877".
