Condition Report

A late 19th century 15ct gold ruby and diamond brooch. The oval-shape ruby, within a curved panel, to the old-cut diamond foliate sides and asymmetric double bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Length 5.2cms. Weight 4.8gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Ruby fairly bright medium red, well saturated, with good clarity and some small typical inclusions, which can be under magnification.

  • Diamonds well matched.
  • Diamonds bright.

  • Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.

  • Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.

  • Stamped 15ct.
