Condition Report

A pair of mid Victorian gold emerald and split pearl earrings. Each designed as a rectangular-shape emerald and split pearl accent textured knot, suspended from a similarly-shaped emerald spacer and bead surmount. Length 3.8cms. Weight 5.9gms.

Purchasing information
  • Overall condition good. Some surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Replace surmount and fittings.
  • Noticeable wear to several claws. One claw deficient.
  • Emeralds are foil back and appear a well matched, slightly bluish green hue. Fairly profuse inclusions, some surface reaching.
  • Emeralds in good condition with small nicks.
  • Split peals are a well matched, creamy-white colour, with rose and greenish overtones.
  • Split pearls in good condition.

  • With fixed posts for pierced ears.

  • Replacement earring fittings.
