An Edwardian silver twin-handled pedestal bowl with shell and scroll rim.

Description

Condition Report

An Edwardian silver pedestal bowl, with applied shell and scroll rim above a presentation engraving to one side, the twin handles formed as sinuous tendrils with trefoil terminals to a spread circular foot. Hallmarked Ridley Brothers & Merton, Birmingham 1905. Height 5.5" (14cm), weight 8.71 ozt (271 grams).

Purchasing information
    Displaying general surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Several surface dints and bumps and areas where the surface appears lumpy. Particularly noticeable damage around the foot where there are also many creases in the metal. Further knocks around foot rim and consequently has a slight wobble. Engraving reads, 'Presented by The Greyhound Racing Association Ltd. White City Stadium.' Hallmarks partly rubbed but still legible.
